THE HUNT
THE BEST DOVE HUNTING IN TEXAS
Every September we take over a ranch outside Albany and spend two days doing one thing well. Guides put you on more birds than you've probably ever seen, Jesse Griffiths cooks US dinner, and from the minute you land we handle everything but your flight. Hunt hard, or don't hunt at all and hold down the fire. Either way, it's two days worth the trip.

WHAT THIS IS
Once a year, Murrey takes a crew out to West Texas for two days of dove hunting on some of the best ground in the state. No agenda, nothing to sit through. Hunt if you want to, and if you don't, there's a fire, a good meal, and good people waiting either way. Come out and see what everyone comes back for.
"I've run this hunt for years, and it's still my favorite two days of the fall, every year. Come out and join us."
Murrey McKee, My Utilities
BEFORE YOU JOIN US
Here's what to expect, what's handled, and the little you need to bring.
-
No. A lot of people come just for the food, the fire, and the company, and never pick up a gun. You won't miss a thing.
-
Some of the best in Texas. Most people get their limit, and plenty see more birds in an afternoon than they have in years. Guides put you on the birds and keep you on them. All you do is shoot.
-
You'll be fine, we promise. An instructor walks you through it on the practice range before we head to the field, and a guide stays with you all day. Bring your own shotgun if you have one, or use ours.
-
Not much. Boots you don't mind getting dusty, a hat, and a layer for the evening. We provide the guns, shells, and everything else.
-
Yes, one. Add their name when you RSVP.
-
August 15, so we can line up your room and plan the hunt. It only takes a minute.
-
A hand-picked group from across mortgage, real estate, and insurance. Good people, and probably a few you already know.
-
Fly into Abilene, about forty minutes out. From Dallas, it's a little over two hours by car.
-
Everything but your flight. Lodging, all your meals, guns, shells, guides, and your Texas hunting license.
